CEDAR version 1.0.0, our first production level version of CEDAR has been released! The new release includes a much-improved user experience with the latest metadata editor, and a lot of behind-the-scenes improvements to increase CEDAR's readiness for prime time.
We confess, we actually released this version of CEDAR at the end of February, but we did not announce it to the site while we monitored issues and user reactions, and cleaned up any critical issues. Now that we are a month into that software (ok, even further along), it seems like time.
Feature: New Metadata Editor: We have enhanced CEDAR's Metadata Editor to provide a compact, intuitive display of metadata forms and to dramatically speed up the entry of metadata. We like the new clean format, we hope you do too!
Additional hardening: We continue to squash bugs and increase the overall usability of the CEDAR Workbench.
Most of all, we are very excited to be offering CEDAR to the entire biomedical community for metadata creation, and look forward to hearing from you about your particular metadata entry needs.
